Who do we employ?
We employ a wide range of casual, part time and full time staff to fill various positions including:
• Office based staff - positions advertised on this site as they become vacant.
• Coordinator positions (requires relevant Diploma in Community Services and/or relevant tertiary qualification which may include social work, nursing, health care).
• Direct Care Workers - support workers (minimum qualification Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability Care or In-Home care) to deliver in-home care.
• Direct Care Workers – home help ( Relevant Certificate II Community Services, health care or asset maintenance desirable but not essential) to work in private homes of clients.
• Direct Care Workers – Respite House shifts ( must be medication endorsed in addition to relevant qualification). This position may suit semi retired registered or enrolled nurses who are looking for regular casual work. Hours vary but can include overnights with one or two medium care clients.
• We also contract student nurses, semi retired nurses/support workers and young parents who cannot guarantee availability throughout the year to assist us as casual relief.
What are the working conditions like?
We have been operating for over 20 years and employ over 300 staff which includes approximately 70 office based staff and almost 300 Direct Care Workers.
We employ under various conditions using the Community Services Award as our foundation. Conditions are clearly outlined in position descriptions.
